The Certified Practitioner Training in Somatic Sexuality offers a transformative journey for students, providing them with invaluable skills and insights into the realm of embodied sexuality. This comprehensive course not only fosters personal growth and self-discovery but also equips individuals with the tools necessary to support others on their own transformative journeys.
The training is designed to either be taken as a whole (three modules) or it can be taken as individual modules. This allows those who are interested in coaching but who don’t want a touch based practice, to still take part in the training. Read the ‘Which Modules?’ section for more info on the three modules and who might want to take them as individual modules.
One of the most significant aspects of the course is the direct experience of bodywork through the participation of our volunteers. This allows students to fully immerse themselves in the practice and has a profound impact on both the givers and receivers of bodywork.
Through this process, participants learn to trust themselves and their bodies, enabling them to embrace their sexuality more fully.
The training empowers students to pursue a career in working with sexuality. By providing guidance and support, the course enables individuals to explore their passion for somatic bodywork and incorporate it into their professional lives.
“I have learnt to accept and appreciate my vulnerability.”
Sebastian Wright
Our professional training stresses the importance of self-connection and self-reflection as prerequisites for helping others. The emphasis is on personal growth and ensures that students develop a deep understanding of themselves, which in turn allows them to better serve their clients. The course instills a sense of acceptance, vulnerability, and appreciation for one’s own journey, ultimately leading to a more compassionate and effective practice.
The facilitators of the training, Kat and John, are consistently praised for their qualities of kindness, warmth, compassion, humor, wisdom, and patience. Their guidance and support create a safe and nurturing learning environment where students can flourish. The focus on individual needs and the cultivation of a collaborative community sets this course apart from others, as it recognises the unique journey of each student and encourages a supportive network of practitioners.
The collaborative nature of the training encourages practitioners to co-create group sessions and foster a sense of community within the field. This experience of connection, both with oneself and with fellow students, is described as a core need and a catalyst for personal and professional growth.
The benefits of this training extend beyond the realm of sexuality. Students attest to the positive impact the course has had on various aspects of their lives. They speak of increased self-awareness, a greater sense of who they are a “Yes” to, and a more relational and innovative approach to their personal and professional practices. The newfound skills and modalities gained from the course empower students to make positive changes and create successful businesses.

What sets our training apart from others on the market is our recognition of the limitations of internet-based and expensive American providers, which may not suit the needs and mentalities of Europeans.
Our program is UK based in Glasgow, which has fantastic transport connections both domestically and internationally. It offers a genuine relationship and ongoing support even after the training is complete. Unlike many other in person trainings which overlook the uniqueness of the student and what they have to offer, our approach begins with the fundamental understanding that to build an authentic practice, individuals must first know who they are and what they want to offer.
Additionally, we provide a supportive community through our Heartbeat network, which connects our graduates and provides a platform for continued growth and development. This community ensures that our practitioners have access to post-training support, fostering confidence in their ability to practice and make a real difference in people’s lives.
Another aspect that sets us apart is the availability of a network of volunteers. This eliminates the need for practitioners to rely on friends for practice, which can often feel awkward and inauthentic. By offering real people to work with, our training provides a more professional and realistic experience, allowing practitioners to refine their skills and build confidence.
In summary, our Certified Practitioner Training in Somatic Sexuality stands out because it focuses on empowering individuals to create their own unique system rather than merely acquiring expertise in existing ones. We offer ongoing support, a vibrant community, and access to real clients through our volunteer network, ensuring that our practitioners are well-prepared, confident, and able to build successful and fulfilling practices.
Our next intake of students is February 2024. We would love you to join us. Book a chat with one of our course tutors so we can answer any questions you have.
